Kevin Gentles, Class of 2005
The Sherry Netherland
"In the Electrical Program I was not only trained, but also guided through the entire essence of electricity using real world examples and real world solutions. During this course the commercial, industrial wirings were the most beneficial. The industrial motor control class was my favorite one. It gave me great exposure at the forward and backward switches on various motors. Those classes were not only targeted at what I wanted to learn but also at what my employer expected from me to know. Starting the electrical program in January, 2005 and getting a full time job offer at The Sherry Netherland Hotel in May, 2005 could not be a better career option for me"
Shamila, Class of 2005
"Enrolling in Medical Billing and Coding training program at Career Institute of Health & Technology was the best decision I have made for myself. From the first day of my classes I was very impressed with the school and the curriculum that was emphasized on hands-on approach. The study in itself required a lot of motivation and discipline but with the support from the instructors that were approachable and easy to communicate it made a significant difference for me.
As I am getting closer towards my graduation, I started sending my resume for medical billing positions and I already received two job offers from various health care offices. My future boss was impressed with my knowledge and with my skills that I acquired at The Career Institute of Health & Technology.
Now, I will be moving on towards my new exciting and rewarding career in healthcare."
Stacey, Class of 2005
Medical Assistant, INR Medical PC
"I had a remarkable experience with Career Institute of Health and Technology. The Medical Assistant training program has given me real life experience. It was something I could take to work with me and apply to what I do now.
The Phlebotomy, EKG, and Medical Administrative Procedures classes were the most favorite and most rewarding for me. Most of my instructors also work in the field they teach. They've been there, they know what's it's about, and they offer real insight into medical world. I was lucky enough to get a full time job offer after finishing my internship."
Allison, Class of 2005
Medical Billing Associate
"I used to work for account payable and receivable department. The Medical Billing and Coding training program at Career Institute of Health & Technology was the most adequate way for me to advance my career and to learn new skills. The whole training along with the Hospital Billing, Computer Applications, and Coding Procedures classes taught me the crucial skills that I use at my work right now.
I was able to convert my internship into a fulltime job. Right after graduation I started working as a Medical Billing Associate at Neurological Practice. I knew that if I want to achieve something I had to dedicate my self completely...and I did it!"
Beata Mikluch, Class of 2005
Cardiovascular Monitoring Technician
"I immigrated to the US from Eastern Europe seven years ago. As a nurse in my country I planned to continue my career in medical field. I have chosen the Medical Assistant - Cardiovascular Monitoring Technician program at the Career Institute of Health & Technology because it offered solid preparation training in a very short time. Such classes as Cardiovascular Anatomy, EKG, and Clinical Electrophysiology with Pharmacology were extremely valuable to my career. During my studies I was able to get hands on training on stress tests, treadmill tests and CPR.
I recently started my internship with Long Island College Hospital."
Kevin Blackwood, Class of 2005
Con Edison
"The Electrical Technician program at Career Institute of Health & Technology was well presented and most importantly had a strong focus on hands-on training approach.
The Instructors were innovative, creative, and personable. They challenged me with new assignments and innovative problem solutions. Especially, the knowledge and skills learned during the residential wiring and the electrical codes classes are extremely useful during my daily work assignments at ConEdison. The program training I received not only solidified and updated electrical skills to current release levels, but also built my confidence in the cutting edge industry and gave me the knowledge to work for a top American company."

"I had an outstanding experience with Career Institute of Health & Technology starting with the instructors that were informative, gave explanations and answers to my questions in a very vivid way.
The curriculum of the program matched well with the current job market demands. Especially, phlebotomy, EKG, and computer applications courses are very helpful in my current working environment.
The hands-on training along with the internship was the most valuable benefit that contributed to my professional success. After finishing my internship I was offered a permanent position with the medical office that I was placed in.
I was on top of the world."
Julio Marino
"I have had a great experience at this school. I have learned many great things that I will put to use one day in the workplace. The people here are very helpful and knowledgeable. If I had a question someone was available to answer it. This class has helped me learn about mechanics in a timely fashion.
I think the classes and lessons are taught clearly and understandable. I believe the assignments given are also helping with my understanding of the industry. I really enjoy the instructor's way of teaching. This is a new and great experience for me.
This will help me break into the automotive industry where I will continue my career. My time spent here learning will help me start a new career and continue my life. I think this class is and will continue to be great experiences for all that come through."

"The only way to be successful in the computer industry is to be able to train with the teachers, receive hands on and eventually work with professionals in the existing field. Your program offers everything a person would need to get a foot in the industry door.
I am now working at Ziff Davis Media for PC Magazine as a Support Technician supporting PC Magazine's main editorial and labs staff."
Cynthia Hayes
"Aside from the regular classes the school also offers tutoring and workshops. There is a Resource Lab with practice exams and tutorials as well. More importantly is the job placement. There are resume workshops and job fairs. I have actually seen people get placed before their graduation date."
Angela Mistretta
"I attended Career Institute of Health and Technology from 10/97 to 8/98. I am currently working as a Systems Analyst at Con Edison. Going to CHIT was the best decision that I could have ever made so far in my life. I made a career change from casework to computers and my salary has doubled within two years."
Arne H. Halvorsen
"The instructors I encountered were very knowledgeable and the curriculum was designed to motivate and challenge. It has driven home the importance of a solid foundation to build upon, and CHIT provided that foundation as well as many of the building blocks of knowledge it supports.
Today the reward for all the time and effort is that I am a Systems Administrator for Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers of New York. SVCMCNY consists of eight hospitals and various clinics and warehouses throughout Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Staten Island and Westchester.
Without the solid training I received at CHIT, I would never have had the opportunity and career future this field offers."
Derrick Williams
"Enrolling in CHIT was the best decision I could have ever made for my career. Before graduating I landed a job at a major bank with a $40,000 salary and within one month I was boosted up to $42,000.
Within 2 years later I am traveling all over the country and am President and CEO of Lexynet Systems (an Integrator/Service provider that is in incubation under a $43 million dollar a year company)."
