“I think it’s a good thing to have everybody know how to perform CPR,” said Spc. Donald Braa, a unit supply specialist with the 139th Medical Group from Liberty, Mo.

“Learning CPR was a nice change from all the other training he’s received and has shown him where his medical expertise comes in handy,” Thompson said. “CPR is a good skill to have because you could one day save a buddy’s life.”

I chose to become a medical assistant because of a wonderful and rewarding experience I had as a youth. I volunteered as a Candy Striper at the Hebrew Home for the Aged in Maryland. The enjoyment and overwhelming satisfaction I felt by helping others was incredible! Ever since then, I knew I wanted to work with people in a meaningful way and make a positive impact in this world.
