Career Opportunities

Considering the fact that electricity is one of the basic needs of our civilization, the demand for qualified electrical professionals grows. As the population and economy grow, more electricians will be needed to install and maintain electrical devices in residential, commercial and industrial structures. In addition, new, innovative technologies are expected to continue to stimulate the demand for electrical professionals.

Despite constant residential and commercial development in the Tri-state area, the power failure in 2003 (2003 Blackout) has confirmed that highly qualified electricians are needed.

As an electrician, you can work in the construction industry or be employed as a maintenance electrician in a wide variety of industries. Employment of electricians is expected to grow faster than the average for all occupations through the year 2012. Our student career services will assist you with job placement, including job fair and resume preparation.
